The new look could be 3D or, at least 2D. You could let people see the output of their search in the form of the city.
For example if someone is searching for the word "lawyer" it could be a map with one street full of law firms, second street full of other staff, etc.
It is especially worth introducing into searching for companies, because you can sell places in the area nearest to the center of the "search town".
You could also try with third dimension - on that dimension you could place lawyers from different parts of real world.
